2025 Election of Professional Members to Council

In 2025, Council seats in Southwest and Ontario districts were scheduled to be filled by election.

A call went out for candidates and by the March 28 deadline, nominations had been received in each of the two districts. All eligible registrants had the opportunity to vote for the Ontario seat. The Southwest seat was voted on only by eligible registrants in the Southwest district.

The election took place using a secure online voting system. On May 6, eligible voters in the Southwest District voted for the Southwest seat. The winner of the Southwest election was then removed from the slate for the Ontario District election, and eligible Ontario voters voted on May 7 & 8 to choose from among the remaining candidates.

Approximately one-third of eligible voters cast a ballot.
